Creston's Boys to Men group visited Butler University last Friday. They attended a leadership class, toured the campus, and had lunch in the commons.
Two 4th grade classrooms @ Eastridge participated in a Distance Learning program called Mathimals with the St. Louis Zoo yesterday afternoon. The cool thing about this program is that a local news station in St. Louis filmed the program on the zoo's end to do a feature on Distance Learning at the Zoo.
Also - the cost of the program is free because of grant money provided by the St. Louis Zoo. MSD Warren applied for the grant and received funding. This is one of 24 programs this spring that K, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade classrooms are participating in - all for free.
Here is a small description of the Mathimals program:
This interactive program include videos, live animals, and hands-on activities that demonstrate the importance of math in the Zoo world.
You are invited to the WCHS Fine Arts ART Show 2015!
We welcome you to attend this exhibition’s opening First Friday Event May 1st from 6pm-8pm at the Warren Central High School Mediaplex. May 4-8, 3-5PM
The exhibition will showcase a culminating body of fine art work by WCHS high school students. Students are given the opportunity to create and display personally driven work in a professional manner. The exhibit will showcase works created within WCHS Drawing & Painting, Ceramics, Jewelry, Sculpture, Intro to Art, and Photography classes.
The 2014 WCHS Fine Art Exhibition truly encompasses what makes the Fine Arts program at WCHS exceptional. Many of the students whose work is on view have been committed to the fine arts classes at WCHS for as many as 4 years and will continue in the Arts after High School. We are sincerely proud of these extraordinary students, for their work reflects a deep understanding of what it means to be an artist, which is rare to realize at such a young age. #ARTmatters Follow us @WCHS_FINEARTS
